Position Overview: Research Scientist in 3D Computer Vision

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Research Scientist with expertise in computer vision and machine learning to enhance our efforts in developing photorealistic telepresence to bridge distances and make remote interactions feel as if they are happening face to face.

Your role will involve applied research focusing on 3D Reconstruction, Novel View Synthesis, and Non-Rigid Tracking. You will help define long-term goals and identify milestones, contributing to Meta products and collaborating on transformative projects with our global team.

Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, or a related technical field (or currently obtaining the degree)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or currently obtaining the degree)
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision
- Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, Python, or C#
- Proven experience in research and problem-solving with publications or projects in related fields
- Eligibility to obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain it during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience through grants, fellowships, patents, or internships
- First-authored publications at peer-reviewed AI and computer vision conferences
- In-depth knowledge of Deep Learning and Computer Vision principles
- Experience in addressing complex problems and evaluating alternative solutions
- History of collaborative and cross-functional work in research settings
- 3+ years of experience in AI research in academic, industrial, or government labs

Compensation and Benefits:

A competitive salary of $117,000 to $173,000/year plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Note that individual pay rates are based on job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
