Job Overview

As a Statistical Programmer at IQVIA, you will provide advanced technical expertise to develop and maintain programs that meet the needs of both our internal teams and external clients. Your role will involve planning and leading development projects through the full scope of statistical programming tasks, ensuring high-quality solutions and effective data analysis outputs.

Essential Functions

• Develop statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries through sophisticated programming and testing.
• Manage the programming of analysis databases and data transfers for comprehensive client support.
• Ensure the integration of databases from multiple studies or sources.
• Create detailed programming documentation, including plans and specifications.
• Offer advanced technical solutions to both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing team and departmental projects.
• Lead the development, implementation, and validation of new process technologies and applications.
• Handle project responsibilities at the statistical team lead level for individual studies, with supervisory support.
• Understand project scope, effectively manage out-of-scope tasks, and potentially oversee budget and resource planning.
• Conduct training and provide mentorship to junior and new staff members.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Proficiency in Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with high accuracy and attention to detail.
