Job Description: Abinitio & Teradata Developer, Pune

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

We are seeking an Abinitio & Teradata Developer with a solid telecom background and 5-10 years of experience in Data Warehouse and ETL processing, preferably with Teradata. The candidate should also have 5-10 years of experience with Ab Initio (GDE and EME) and Unix.

This role involves designing and developing optimized, production-level data loads and dimensional data models for fast performance and minimal maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing customer code development, SQL, technical associates, ETL design, and data acquisition.
• Collaborating with engineers from various source systems for data acquisition, transformation, and data quality.
• Defining business rules and transformations for data from source systems to the data warehouse.
• Identifying and resolving data quality issues and implementing data audits.
• Implementing indexing and partitioning strategies to maximize query performance.
• Explaining technical concepts to non-technical associates and vice versa.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications with a focus on security, availability, scalability, and maintainability. Main duties include:

• Gathering and analyzing software requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Creating and improving delivery-focused tooling across various languages and environments.
• Conducting thorough testing, debugging, and software modifications.
• Implementing algorithms to enhance software functionality and performance.
• Building and maintaining future-ready platforms with a customer-centric approach.
• Managing the end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical systems.
• Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications and integrating third-party software components.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing software.
• Recommending and executing improvements, and implementing error handling and self-healing mechanisms.
