Your Responsibilities

As an ACAS Engineer, your main responsibilities include:

  • Developing secure and reliable operations for enterprise systems.
  • Designing, engineering, and implementing advanced cyber defense mechanisms.
  • Understanding layered defense and zero trust technologies to prevent cyber threats.
  • Thwarting adversary network threats and identifying advanced attack vectors.
  • Leading individual tasks, projects, or small integrated teams to ensure project success.
  • Providing guidance and direction to lower-level technicians, specialists, and managers.

Your Expertise

We are looking for candidates with strong expertise in:

  • Web content filters, email security capabilities, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems.
  • Host Based Security Systems, Security Incident and Event Management tools, DNS security practices, advanced log analysis.
  • Network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls, and antivirus tools.
  • Linux or UNIX command line and access control lists.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • 4+ years of experience with privileged and elevated access operating, maintaining, and patching a DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Experience with Windows and Linux, including server operating systems and applications.
  • Familiarity with STIGs, SCAP, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience (HS diploma/GED + 7 years, Associate's degree + 5 years, Bachelor's degree + 3 years, or Master's degree + 1 year).
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification.
  • Ability to obtain Cyber Security Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

  • Experience with tools like Gigamon, Ansible, Encase, Fidelis, Suricata, Varonis, or VMWare.
  • Experience with Cloud Enterprise, authorizing cloud systems, and services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge in big data analytics, machine learning, AI, anomaly detection, Zero-Trust Architecture, DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, CaC, IT Infrastructure Library, and IT Service Management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, or Perl.
  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment and automating security configurations for Linux and Windows systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
