Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Apply data science expertise in machine learning, statistics, forecasting, and optimization for multiple AI projects and products.
• Organize and analyze large data assets to develop relevant data models tailored to specific business cases.
• Design and develop models, algorithms, simulations, and experiments using state-of-the-art machine learning technologies.
• Conduct end-to-end tasks from ML experiments to delivering production-ready models.
• Utilize data analysis, visualization, and storytelling techniques to deliver AI-based data solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and MLOps teams to implement AI/ML solutions.

About You

Experience

• Developing deployable code and deploying models in an agile, product-focused environment.
• Proven track record of applying ML/deep learning to solve molecule-related problems.
• Experience with big data, database mining, and large-scale virtual screening using optimization techniques.
• Expertise in sensitive data environments (healthcare, defense, etc.).
• A background in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work with multiple teams to achieve alignment and results.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in business analysis, data visualization, and data storytelling.
• Proficiency in core data science languages (Python, R, Scala) and familiarity with various database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge in areas such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, forecasting, Bayesian statistics, and optimization.
• Comfortable working in cloud and high-performance computing environments (AWS, GCP, Databricks, Apache Spark).
• Hands-on experience in AI/ML modeling combined with a solid understanding of theoretical AI/ML foundations (CI/CD, Orchestration).
• Proficiency with tools like Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, and experience with various APIs.
• Good understanding of AI regulations.

Education

• PhD in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, economics, or a related discipline with strong coding skills, OR
• Master’s degree in a relevant domain

Languages

• Fluent in English
