About the Team

You will be an integral part of the Digital Controls team, under the Accounting and Internal Controls function of Deloitte Risk Advisory—a multidisciplinary unit focused on risk and compliance. We assist our clients in transforming their use of technology, data, processes, and controls to tackle financial, regulatory, operational, and cyber risks.

Job Description

What Will You Do?

As a junior consultant, you will work across various departments within Deloitte and with clients of diverse sizes and business segments in both private and public sectors. You will quickly engage in client proposals and help produce key analyses, reports, and products. We ensure you are equipped with the latest models, methodologies, tools, and frameworks to confidently approach clients.

Your impact will include:

  • Analyzing business processes to identify potential risks or inefficiencies in financial and operational processes, often leveraging automation and new technologies.
  • Providing insights into emerging risks through analytics and new technologies.
  • Conducting comprehensive system and business reviews with practical recommendations for governance, quality, and execution enhancement.
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making to identify improvement and optimization areas, providing recommendations to executive management and boards.
  • Implementing risk or controls assessment tools based on data-driven methods.

Qualifications

We seek graduates with expertise in one or more of the following profiles: Data Science, Business Analytics, and Data Governance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, AI, Physics, or similar with a focus on technology, economics, accounting, finance, or information management.
  • Curious learning mentality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for data and technology.

Specific Skill Sets

  • Data Science:
    • Translating client needs into models from structured and unstructured data.
    • Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL.
    • Experience with cloud systems and data deployment.
    • Interest in AI ethics and governance.
  • Business Analytics:
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
