Role and Responsibilities

As an AI Solution Architect, you will:

  • Translate Technology Needs: Convert customer technology requirements and future objectives into actionable plans, including crafting requirements, architectural products, design specifications, statements of work, presentations, proposals, and white papers.
  • Engage with Customers: Serve as a technical liaison, understanding customer needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate and manage partnerships with key technology vendors to align with our strategic goals.
  • Lead Technical Strategy: Develop technical solutions and architectures that address customer requirements, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Contribute to Proposals: Assist in writing proposals and white papers that highlight our capabilities and value propositions.
  • Guide Engineering Teams: Provide direction to engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Support Market Analysis: Inform innovation efforts and capture opportunities based on market analysis and strategy.
  • Mentor Future Leaders: Mentor junior developers to grow the next generation of solutions architects.

Qualifications

You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in the defense industry designing, developing, and implementing software applications
  • 5+ years of experience defining system architecture or AI/autonomous systems requirements for defense acquisition
  • 3+ years of experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Autonomy
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline development and deployment for AI, ML, or Autonomy
  • Technical leadership experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience in business development, proposal writing, and technical marketing
  • Knowledge of software and systems architecture principles
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering (or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with modular open systems approach (MOSA) standards
  • Experience with object-oriented and service-oriented software development
  • Experience with DDS middleware
  • Experience with cloud strategy and system development
  • Experience with AI-enabled system test and evaluation (T&E)
  • Modeling and simulation (M&S) experience for requirements discovery and system performance evaluation
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices
  • Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and SysML knowledge
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical field (or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

The salary range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). This reflects the typical range for the role and is one component of our total compensation package.

Work Model

We embrace flexibility and collaboration. Depending on the role, you may work remotely, in a hybrid model, or onsite at Booz Allen or client facilities.
