About the Role: AI Curriculum Lead

The Content Team at Udacity is seeking a multi-talented AI Curriculum Lead to develop interactive and hands-on learning experiences focused on artificial intelligence. This role involves creating professional learning paths for technical upskilling and providing instructional design leadership throughout the course development process. Leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge of AI industry trends, you will help shape Udacity's AI catalog.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and engage with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and review internal and competitor content offerings.
  • Utilize technical expertise and industry knowledge to develop detailed scopes for Udacity's AI content.
  • Collaborate with external subject matter experts and internal team members to develop effective online content adhering to Udacity's pedagogical standards.
  • Coach new authors on Udacity's course development process and provide feedback from a student perspective.
  • Create learning content like videos, text, technical exercises, quizzes, and projects using Udacity’s tools, templates, and pedagogical best practices.
  • Support authors in creating coding environments on our platform, including workspaces and interactive lab environments.
  • Utilize data and learner feedback to enhance content effectiveness and student outcomes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of AI principles, including NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience using AI tools and libraries.
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and workflows.
  • Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

Other Required Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in teaching and/or curriculum development.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in roles related to data, AI, and machine learning.
  • Experience using version control tools like Git.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and copy-editing skills in English.
  • A can-do attitude and a growth mindset.

Desired Qualities

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience developing asynchronous online course content.
  • A demonstrated history of learning and applying new technical skills.

Location & Compensation

This is a remote role; however, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The maximum base pay for this position is $150,000, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, participation in Udacity’s equity plan, and generous benefits.
