Job Description: AI Engineer

We are on the lookout for a driven Software Engineer to bolster our AI solutions team. The right candidate will help enhance our AI capabilities on the Datasite Platform by incorporating internal ML/NLP models, foundational LLM models, and advanced semantic search techniques. This hybrid role, based in Heredia, Costa Rica, requires occasional in-office presence (currently once a week) with flexible scheduling to suit traffic and collaboration needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop prompt templates, orchestration chains, and agents using Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to launch AI-powered products and features.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical work through clean coding and comprehensive testing.
• Architect scalable and maintainable solutions using Python.
• Strategize and prioritize software development projects in coordination with technical leadership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, or computer science.
• 3+ years of experience in Python (or similar object-oriented programming languages) and projects adhering to the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and communication.
• A passion for Agile methodology and the versatility to think outside conventional frameworks.
• Imperative commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging with teams and presenting to senior project managers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in data handling and analysis.
• Exposure to foundational AI concepts.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with AI and Machine Learning techniques.
• Data Science training.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience in text mining, Natural Language Processing, and Understanding.
