Role Overview: AI Engineer III

As an AI Engineer III at Premera, you will work within a collaborative team to move AI/ML solutions from concept through to full production implementation. This role demands creativity and analytical prowess to tackle business challenges, propose AI-driven solutions, and realize them through efficient system design, modeling, and coding. You'll engage cross-functionally to develop and prototype new AI products, contributing your expertise to power scalable AI systems that tackle complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive systems and frameworks for various AI applications.
• Create prototypes and MVPs to validate AI solutions.
• Refine and deploy AI systems using essential cloud resources like Azure OpenAI and Azure ML.
• Develop robust data pipelines for model evolution and production systems.
• Oversee AI systems in production to maintain model accuracy and reliability.
• Engage in agile-like development practices and contribute to team documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior AI engineers, promoting industry best practices.

What You Bring to Our Team:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least three years of industry experience in AI or ML system development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Advanced skills in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in ethical AI practices including fairness and bias mitigation.
• Experience with agile development environments.

This remote position offers a competitive salary range of $112,900.00 - $218,800.00, dependent on location and experience.
