As a part of our dynamic team, you will enhance and optimize our existing self-checkout applications, utilized by over 41,000 devices within the REWE Group. Your expertise, dedication, and innovative ideas will contribute significantly to project implementations alongside talented software developers.

Job Description

- Develop and implement the POS AI platform for stationary retail outlets.
- Collaborate on AI projects involving video and image technology, leading to fully autonomous shopping experiences (Smart Store, product recognition, security measures).
- Test and implement suitable technologies and innovations.
- Configure and train image recognition algorithms.
- Design AI-driven strategies to increase efficiency and improve processes at self-checkout zones.

Qualifications

- Degree in Business Informatics, Project Management or similar; or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in integrating various systems and data structures (Cloud, Small Data, and Big Data architectures, Data Pipelines, Toolchains).
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and development (e.g., Python, Shell Scripts) and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to visualize data and concepts.
- High motivation with a keen interest in AI topics (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data).
