Do Work That Matters in Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M)

IB&M plays a crucial role in managing relationships with major corporate and government clients, as well as institutional investors. We offer a full spectrum of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services. Our success depends on effectively implementing strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on Quants, Data, Analytics, and Technology (QDAT). QDAT is our centre of excellence, using data, mathematics, insights, and technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients and the wider Group.

As part of our Systematic Markets AI Team, you'll be at the forefront of developing AI solutions. We specialize in value-add use cases across machine learning and generative AI, taking full responsibility from use case definition to model development, productionization, and integration.

On a Day-to-Day Basis, You Will:

• Develop generative AI solutions in coordination with implementing our Customer Relationship Management system for IB&M.
• Collaborate with central AI scientists and engineers to define architecture and specific AI tools.
• Create valuable generative AI solutions for our people and clients within CBA’s tech stack.

We're Interested in Meeting Candidates Who Have:

• Proven experience in delivering comprehensive solutions directly to business users.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, including experience with tests and version control.
• Experience in developing generative AI solutions and platforms using either open-source or vendor models.
• Background in Institutional banking or financial markets products and relationship-driven business models (advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively to develop use cases.
• A strong educational background with a degree in mathematics, computer science, actuary studies, data science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with AI cloud platforms like AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, or Azure ML studio.
