Role Overview: AI Engineer

We are excited to engage with engineers at various levels, from Intermediate to Senior/Principle. Our new product brings required transparency to the home buying process, continuing the evolution of our services that provide key data extraction and reporting from legal documents. With the adoption of cutting-edge LLMs like OpenAI’s GPT-4, we are offering unique opportunities to utilize these technologies in substantial production applications.

You will lead the design and development of essential features of our web applications. Be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team focusing on delivering high quality, impactful products across the entire development lifecycle from initial design to deployment, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership of critical technology decisions and foundational work for Orbital Witness’s growth.
• Develop, test, refactor, deploy, and support production software.
• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to define user stories, experiment rapidly, and rollout new features effectively.
• Champion high standards in quality and code reuse throughout the development process.
• Ensure the features developed have a substantial business impact, supporting the design and launch of unprecedented products.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews to enhance application quality, maintainability, security, and scalability.

Apply if you:

• Possess a deep interest and understanding of AI tools, including multi-agent architectures and prompt engineering.
• Have a background in backend (preferably in Python) and/or frontend development (preferably in React, TypeScript, or Next.js).
• Value rapid shipping for early customer feedback and iterative product enhancements.
• Excel in communication and have a track record of delivering complex software engineering projects.
• Preferably, have experience with LLM’s, particularly OpenAI's API, Docker, Kubernetes, or building high-performance distributed systems.
