What You’ll Do

• Develop AI-powered solutions for millions of developers, including professional engineers at Fortune 500 companies.
• Engage with complex AI systems, focusing on efficient and scalable code delivery.
• Show initiative and independently start and progress projects.
• Design, monitor, and analyze new product experiments, document findings, and consistently work towards improvement.

About You

• Possess strong software engineering skills; regular code reviews are a key part of our culture.
• Be a self-starting team player eager to plan, design, build, and iterate on products without needing constant guidance.
• Have a deep curiosity about the latest AI research and applications with a drive to revolutionize software development through AI.
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools such as Codeium, Copilot, and ChatGPT is a significant plus.

• We believe our best work is done in person. Our team works five days a week at our downtown Mountain View, CA office, which is conveniently located near the Caltrain station and offers commuter benefits from San Francisco.
• Engineers at Codeium own projects from start to finish, driving brainstorming, design, iteration, and user research. We rarely perform "handoffs."
• Research serves the goal of creating better products. While we stay updated with academic papers, we focus our efforts on building and refining practical solutions. Our best researchers also excel in software engineering, understanding the importance of infrastructure and evaluation work.

• Regular deployment of an autocomplete and chat product serving hundreds of thousands of daily active users across more than 40 IDEs.
• Development of Codeium Live, allowing users to chat in their browsers with popular repositories.
• Creation of a Kubernetes-native data processing framework capable of handling petabytes of data across thousands of spot CPUs.
• Implementation of a code attribution service to ensure properly licensed generated code for our customers.
• Remote parsing, embedding, and indexing of users' codebases.
