Job Description

The Risk and Identity Solutions team at Visa concentrates on providing fraud detection and prevention solutions that allow every good transaction to be approved and every bad one to be turned down, all while maintaining a seamless customer experience. Integral to this approach is the application of AI/ML models designed to identify fraud within the card payment ecosystem. Visa has pioneered these capabilities for beyond 25 years and continues to advance its faculties to respond to the swiftly changing demands of today's digital payment environment.

 

Some job duties and projects could include: 

  • Analyzing and synthesizing data into content that can help shape commercialization strategies. Assisting in defining strategies through research and critical thinking.
  • Collaborating with regional teams on product readiness, including defining pricing and commercialization approaches, going through pre-deployment stages, securing necessary approvals, and ensuring internal teams are prepared and supportive.
  • Working with marketing teams to create materials that communicate solution values to clients and facilitate their startup.
  • Engaging with potential partners/clients to assess their abilities, define use cases, commercial constructs, and contribute to investment decisions.
  • Undertaking data analysis to support pilot projects such as collecting and synthesizing data to gauge the success or failure of the pilots.
  • Creating visually appealing, user-friendly reporting capabilities that generate insights on data model's performance (e.g., fraud rate reduction, rule execution results, etc.)
  • Gathering insights on the 'Voice of the Client' through interviews/surveys and other client engagement opportunities.
  • Collecting competitive intelligence and preparing analysis on opportunities.
  • Identifying strategic opportunities to enhance data models.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Students pursuing an MBA Degree with a graduation date between May 2025 and August 2025.
  • Strong communication skills, specifically clear and concise spoken and written communications that demonstrate professionalism, free of repeated grammatical or typographical errors. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Robust consultative abilities to establish relationships across a global organization.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills similar to those used by consultants and analysts to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in data modeling or data science is a plus.
  • The ability to tackle challenges and solve problems proactively.
  • Strong ability to collaborate.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through uncertain situations.

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated for a new hire in this position is $53/HR USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).  Salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and equity.  Visa offers a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and a Wellness Program.

Work Hours:Depends on the requirements of the department.

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and over the phone, frequently operate standard office equipment, like telephones and computers.
