Role Overview: AI Research Product Management – Vice President (VP)

Since its inception in 2018, the AI Research team has been pivotal in J.P. Morgan's research and business evolution. Today, as we accelerate our journey, your role as AI Research Product Manager will be central in driving the adoption of AI innovations in financial services. This will involve steering product vision, defining key outcomes, and navigating the product through crucial milestones alongside our cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize AI-driven business transformation initiatives.
• Develop and execute product roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders including customers, designers, and engineers.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive product requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagements to manage expectations and influence decisions using data-driven insights.
• Work closely with product marketing to proactively launch products and maximize product adoption and engagement.
• Organize events to showcase AI capabilities and promote knowledge sharing.
• Define and communicate the visionary goals for AI initiatives, establishing success metrics and securing investments.
• Establish and maintain effective engagement models with key strategic teams.
• Spearhead the broader business adoption of AI, keeping stakeholders updated on the business impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven understanding of the financial services industry.
• Extensive experience as a product manager in technology-driven products.
• Master’s degree or significant practical experience.
• Strong familiarity with AI and ML concepts and able to effectively communicate them.
• Proficiency in Python, APIs, and contemporary software development practices.
• Ability to navigate complex problem-solving environments, utilizing excellent judgment and data-informed decision-making.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and effective engagement with technical and leadership teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AI & ML methodologies.
• Experience managing AI product development within financial services or similar industries.
• Capacity to manage high-stakes projects and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
• Proven track record of delivering AI solutions to the market.
