Key Responsibilities:

• Advance the science and technology of intelligent machines.
• Enable learning across various data modalities such as images, video, text, and audio.
• Lead projects of moderate to high complexity, influence research communities, and produce influential publications.
• Design and execute cutting-edge research to enhance machine perception and scene understanding technologies in AR/VR systems.
• Collaborate across teams to transform advanced research findings into real-world applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• PhD in Computer Vision, Robotics, 3D Reconstruction, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in applying research to production challenges.
• Experience leading AI/ML modeling projects and teams.
• Demonstrable experience in system building, data collection, coding (C++), and evaluation (Python).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior position in academia or industry with a focus on AI research.
• Strong publication record in top AI conferences.
• Skills in C/C++, Python, C#, GPU programming, and Unix environment.
• Experience in real-time computing and design for sensing devices.

Compensation & Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $213,000 to $293,000/year plus bonuses, equity, and additional benefits. At Meta, compensation correlates with experience and location.
