Key Responsibilities

As an AI Research Scientist focusing on Computer Vision, you will:

• Lead applied research and the development of novel AI algorithms for large-scale applications in 3D telepresence.
• Define long-term objectives and manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate across functional teams, balancing research and product development.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship within the team, maintaining a significant blend of coding and system design.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prospective candidates should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A PhD in a relevant field with over 5 years of experience, particularly in full body human 3D reconstruction and 3D telepresence technologies.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional groups and integrating research into production with a focus on algorithmic optimization for devices.
• Advanced proficiency in developing with C/C++ and/or Python/PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• First-author publications in peer-reviewed conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, or SIGGRAPH.
• Experience in solving complex issues and quantifying decision-making processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional communication.
• Knowledge in machine learning infrastructure, with a knack for CPU/GPU and mobile optimizations.

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $177,000/year to $251,000/year, plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Note: Compensation varies based on skills, qualifications, and location.
