Role and Responsibilities

As a visionary leader in AI, your role involves:

• Influencing Meta's long-term research strategies to pioneer advancements in intelligent machine technologies.
• Building and steering internal collaborations across disciplines to achieve strategic goals.
• Identifying pivotal risks and opportunities across various research teams.
• Enhancing the scope of relevant research communities through prolific publications.
• Utilizing your research to contribute to the development of Meta products.
• Demonstrating inclusive behavior and fostering a workplace that embraces diverse perspectives.
• Mentoring up-and-coming researchers and shaping the company's future through various cross-company initiatives, including recruitment, diversity & inclusion, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Over 5 years of experience in high-impact AI research in academic, industrial, or government settings.
• A Ph.D. with a notable record of leading influential research, demonstrated through publications in top-tier AI conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML.
• Adeptness at forming and executing long-term research visions.
• Capability to communicate intricate research to both peers and the non-technical public.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following will have an edge:

• 10+ years of experience in impactful AI research roles.
• A proven track record of translating research findings into tangible business impacts.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Skills in Python or C/C++ for developing and debugging.
• Interest or experience in leading research teams in an industrial setting.
