Position Overview

Emerald Zebra is on the lookout for an outstanding AI Researcher to be a part of what is rapidly becoming the premier AI hub in Cyprus. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a deep passion for artificial intelligence and a strong academic background, looking to make a direct impact in the business world.

Who We Are Looking For

If you see yourself as a brilliant mathematician and you are excited about applying AI to open up new perspectives, we might just have the perfect role for you. Ideal candidates should hold a PhD, or a solid Masters degree, from a reputable university and have experience backing their knowledge with proven peer-reviewed publications.

Experience in AI safety, generative AI, AGI, novel AI architectures, and cutting-edge algorithms is highly regarded. Added plus if you have a physics background and at least 3 years of Post-Doc research experience.

Key Requirements

Strong mathematical capabilities, adept in creating innovative solutions and passionate about the ongoing pursuit of AGI. You must have proven experience in developing novel AI models and have a knack for the scientific method and rapid prototyping.

Publishing: A track record of impactful papers with aspirations to publish more and file patents related to AI or deep-tech innovations.

Skills: Proficiency in coding for prototypes, algorithms, and data analysis. Experience with state-of-the-art AI technologies and a creative approach to modeling intelligence mathematically is essential.

Communication Abilities

We are looking for a communicator capable of expressing complex ideas simply and engagingly, ready to challenge and be challenged, and dazzle in presentations and discussions.

Work Environment and Benefits

This role offers the flexibility of working from home, supplemented by daily Zoom meetings and weekly in-person sessions in Limassol. Open to candidates from Greece, Israel, and the Middle East with excellent English communication skills. Travel is minimal, and the salary is competitive in the range of 4-5.5K EUR gross per month, plus bonuses linked to successful projects and partnerships.
