Join Our Team as a Full-Time AI Researcher

Emergence is seeking passionate and skilled AI Researchers specializing in multi-agent systems to join our dynamic team. Whether you prefer working remotely or on-site at our NYC headquarters, your role will be pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI systems. What You’ll Do

• Design and implement multi-agent and tool-using systems
• Sequential decision-making via language models including multi-step reasoning and planning
• Apply continuous learning and self-learning techniques
• Integrate neuro-symbolic reasoning
• Develop contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, and reward modeling
• Utilize classical planning techniques and AI agent frameworks
• Hands-on experience with large foundation models and diverse training modalities (e.g., CPT/DPT, SFT, instruction-tuning, alignment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field
• 5+ years of research or industry experience in relevant areas
• Publications in leading AI/NLP conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP)
• Proficiency in deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax

Our U.S. base salary range for this role is $248,500 - $300,000, exclusive of equity and benefits. This range is determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
