Key Responsibilities

• Modifying pre-trained large language models to enhance human interaction capabilities.
• Equipping large language models with the functionality to call external tools.
• Aligning language models based on feedback from deployment or customized annotation processes.
• Designing bespoke annotation processes for model alignment and improvement.
• Contributing to the pre-training efforts of language models.

Essential Qualifications

• Scientific Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of generative AI, with broad knowledge of AI and specific expertise in fine-tuning and deploying language models.
• Technical Engineering Competence: Proficiency in designing complex software systems for production use, navigating the full MLOps stack with emphasis on architecture development, model evaluation, and occasional front-end development. The ability to use advanced HPC infrastructure independently is essential.
