Join the Siri Conversation Intelligence Team as an AIML - ML Engineer

Job Summary: Exciting opportunity to shape the future of conversational AI as part of Apple's Siri Conversation Intelligence (SCI) team. This role is key in innovating large scale systems and enhancing the conversational capabilities of Siri using advanced machine learning models, including LLMs. This is a full-time position with a requirement of 40 hours per week, commencing from April 30, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be engaged in cutting-edge research in deep learning and natural language understanding to drive the development of sophisticated models that improve Siri's functionality. Collaborate with expert software and platform engineers to seamlessly integrate these models on-device. Your work will directly enhance the user experience for millions globally by refining the intelligence of Siri.

Essential Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, LLMs, and NLU.
• 5-10+ years of robust programming experience using ML tools such as C/C++, Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow, and Hugging Face.
• Practical experience with large models including training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs.
• Proficiency in ML optimization techniques like quantization and distillation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in prototyping, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Previous publication in top ML/DL/NLP conferences is considered a plus.

What You Will Do:

Develop and refine novel ML/DL models for better NLU and conversational understanding. Work closely with technical teams to convert and compile models to enhance real-time performance on devices. You will also address model errors, optimize performance, and play a pivotal role in the continual advancement of Siri.

Educational Requirements:

Master's degree or PhD, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits:

At Apple, we offer a competitive salary range between $138,900.00 and $208,300.00, depending on your skillset and experience.
