Job Description

Pangiam is looking for an AI/ML Project Manager / Product Owner. This role will be in charge of day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting for a high-priority border security project involving Java and machine learning technologies.

The responsibilities of the candidate will be:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the completion of multiple projects and dependencies undertaken by other teams within the company
  • Leading a 4-5 person agile team
  • Providing support to system engineers
  • Using Jira/confluence
  • Ensuring the design and delivery of end-to-end workflows
  • Allocating and/or tracking resources across multiple projects
  • Understanding of SELC and its related documents (project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, reports, etc.)
  • Creating and managing project plans
  • Closely collaborating with business and solution resources on lifecycle deliverables
  • Generating weekly status reports in several formats
  • Facilitating daily scrums, sprint reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, etc.
  • Providing technical guidance for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
  • Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • Communicating with the government on matters of system engineering and addressing any resulting problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Taking ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of the work performed and deliverables associated with the system engineering area.
  • Documenting project risks and mitigation plans and informing stakeholders
  • Ensuring the documentation and adherence to all processes for compliance
  • Contributing to project scoping, including requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, methodologies, and budget recommendations
  • Developing and delivering trainings to CBP Personnel

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with business users daily to assist them in their daily functions using the IT systems
  • Facilitating interaction between end users and developers
  • Capability to engage with a diverse range of customers daily
  • Comfortable with presenting materials and answering questions in both classroom and one-on-one settings
  • Positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently within a small team environment
  • Capability to effectively multitask and complete basic tasks beyond title-specific responsibilities
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and experience in training are required. Relevant work experience might be considered as a substitute for a degree.
