Amazon Web Services, the global leader in cloud computing services, is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to join the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) technical team focusing on Amazon artificial intelligence and machine learning (SageMaker, Textract, Rekognition, Translate, Transcribe, Comprehend). Working alongside sales and technical leaders, your role involves helping customers develop new services, capabilities, and cutting costs by adopting Amazon AI and ML services. The ideal candidate should possess technical proficiency in AI and ML, plus diversified technical, IT management and/or engineering background. A solid understanding of cloud computing, industry trends and product advances is also necessary. This role demands a robust passion for working with customers and partners, extensive comfort dealing with uncertainty, and close attention to detail. Travel may be required for face-to-face customer interactions, internal conferences, and industry events. Key job responsibilities: - Develop a solid understanding of AI/ML technology and relevant industry advancements, including Amazon services like SageMaker, Textract, Rekognition, Translate, Transcribe, Comprehend. - Communicate Amazon AI/ML approach, value proposition, and services both internally and externally. Assist field teams in understanding AI/ML services and facilitate successful customer adoption. - Identify and address customer difficulties in AI/ML adoption, showcasing how AWS solutions can help launch new services, capabilities, and efficiencies. - Collaborate with partners, internal teams, and customers to determine the optimal use-cases, deployment, and adaptation of AI/ML and related tech, etc. - Work closely with global WWPS account teams and sales and technical leadership to create programs that speed up AI/ML adoption, including the generation of technical content and white papers. - Plan and implement AI/ML campaigns, coordinating with sales and field teams. - Recognize and eliminate obstacles that inhibit AI/ML and related workloads adoption. The base pay for this role ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
