Senior Software Engineer Job Opportunity

Role Summary & Description

Join our dynamic and agile team as a Senior Software Engineer. We are searching for a highly skilled engineer to enhance the quality and reliability of our software products. This role focuses on developing Azure-based applications, data warehousing, and sophisticated ETL backend systems.

The successful candidate will bring over 8 years of expertise in PL/SQL coding along with practical experiences in Azure, Oracle Database, and Data Warehousing. Key responsibilities include analyzing, designing, and coding ETL jobs; creating database views, indexes, and partitions, and writing PL/SQL procedures, triggers, and complex SQL queries.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and debug complex queries and PL/SQL procedures.
• Work on database views, materialized views, indexes, and partitions.
• Analyze requirements, design solutions, and code ETL jobs.
• Implement shell scripting and schedule tasks using Autosys/Control-M/Cron.
• Communicate effectively with business users to understand and analyze requirements.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, Agile development team.
• Collaborate effectively both independently and within a team.

Essential Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Extensive experience in query performance tuning and optimization.
• Proficiency in Unix scripting, Python, AWS/Azure, and Perl.
• Strong grasp of PL/SQL coding, including procedures, triggers, and packages.
• Experience with any ETL tools.
• Exposure to the Onshore-Offshore delivery model.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Proficient in SQL performance tuning.
• Strong background in Oracle Database management.
