We are looking for a skilled and solution-oriented Reality Capture Field Specialist Co-op to contribute to transformational innovation in the business. As a Reality Capture Field Specialist Co-op, you will work closely with the Reality Capture Manager, BIM team, field deployment engineers, and cross-functional teams to enhance the quality and productivity of automation deployment for Amazon's fulfilment network. Amazon Robotics co-op opportunities will be based either in Seattle or in the Greater Boston Area, in our state-of-the-art facilities in Westborough, MA, and North Reading, MA. Both campuses offer a unique opportunity to have direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities. Key job responsibilities for the Co-op will include: - Traveling to support the deployment of automation equipment - Performing 3D LiDAR scans and surveys of physical facilities and processing point cloud data - Helping to develop standard operating procedures for reality capture use cases - Assisting and working with the Reality Capture Field, BIM, and Deployment Engineers to layout the designs of automation equipment at sites for installation We are open to hiring candidates to work from one of the following locations: Boston, MA, USA. Basic Qualifications: - Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline: Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent. - Current enrolment in a college/university and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op - Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h/week) co-op from January to June 2024 - Ability to travel up to 80% - Competence in the use of Autodesk applications (Recap Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360) or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Experience in 3D LiDAR scanning and point cloud data processing applications (Leica Cyclone, Faro Scene) or equivalent - Experience in surveying and using survey equipment (Total Station) - Industrial experience working with cross-functional teams and field operations Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
