Aviva is on the lookout for a skilled Data Science Analyst to join our vibrant Data Science community. Based in our Warsaw office, this role is integral in transforming our approach to Commercial Lines insurance by harnessing the power of data science across the business.

Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• Developing interactive applications predominantly using R (RShiny, shinydashboard).
• Engaging in data analytics and data processing to derive actionable insights.
• Integrating with external APIs to enhance data utility.
• Conducting peer code reviews and unit testing to ensure robust solutions.
• Adhering to best practices in clean coding, naming conventions, and code version control.
• Documenting all changes comprehensively as per set guidelines.
• Assisting in migration processes to new data platforms or upgrades.

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Experience in programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, or similar.
• Proven skills in dashboard development, especially with R Shiny.
• An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivation, with an organized approach and commitment to projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
