Job Overview:

Mastercard Enterprise Data Governance is seeking an Analyst, Data Governance to join our team. You will help develop and deliver data governance strategies to promote best-in-class data management practices across our organization. Your role will involve cross-functional coordination, collaboration with partners, and data stewardship to ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards. Your contributions will be pivotal in realizing Mastercard's vision to unlock and accelerate data value for our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Data Governance Office in implementing data governance strategies and policies across the Mastercard data ecosystem.
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining standards, procedures, work instructions, processes, and playbooks.
  • Support documentation and tracking for remediation planning, measuring, and monitoring activities related to data governance strategies, data domains, data risk, and internal audits.
  • Manage documentation and maintenance of assigned business, technical, and service-related roles required for stewardship representation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and collaboration for global data management initiatives, including cloud and data catalog management.
  • Assist with guided data management implementation across specified data domains, such as data lifecycle management, metadata management, data quality, and AI & analytics enablement.
  • Support the delivery and tracking of education and training for data governance stakeholders and ecosystem stewards.
  • Assist in documenting and tracking continuous improvement efforts, including plan, do, check, act activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, preferably within a large enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard data governance and data management theories, principles, and methodologies.
  • Exposure to data governance and management technical platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, and Alation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex data issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
