About This Role

As an Analyst in Data Quality Control, you will be part of the Aladdin Data (AD) team, responsible for managing critical investment data for BlackRock and its BlackRock Solutions (BRS) business on our proprietary Aladdin® end-to-end investment platform. The AD team collaborates closely with stakeholders such as Portfolio Management, Global Capital Markets, Relationship Management, Portfolio Compliance, Risk Analytics, and Regulatory Reporting to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.

Team Overview

The Aladdin Data team is driven by BlackRock’s core principles: Innovation, Fiduciary Focus, Passion for Performance, and One BlackRock. With a global presence across 8 countries, the Data & AI team manages over $17 trillion in AUM on Aladdin for both BlackRock and BRS clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service to both external and internal clients by addressing inquiries, performing controls, resolving issues, and mitigating risks.
  • Manage outlier exceptions daily and identify areas for technical improvements.
  • Gain extensive experience in Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Alternatives within the global investment landscape.
  • Utilize technical skills to ensure data accuracy, automate processes with scripts, and efficiently query large databases.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues, perform ad-hoc analysis on large datasets, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of green package production to collaborate effectively on Data Analytics Quality initiatives.
  • Drive platform and process innovations to support new business needs, reduce risk, enhance quality, and adapt to market changes.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
  • Strong curiosity about global financial markets and investment management.
  • Team player with the ability to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, UNIX, or Python is a plus; eagerness to expand technical expertise is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of fixed income, equity, and derivative instruments is advantageous.
