About the Role: Senior Data Engineer in AFC Monitoring & Screening Global Platform

The AFC division at Deutsche Bank is endowed with a sophisticated matrix structure that integrates regional and global functions, focussing on areas such as Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Fraud, and more. Your role as a Senior Data Engineer will involve leading the development and management of data pipelines and analytics platforms, crucial for detecting and preventing financial crimes.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

  • Design and build robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Apply advanced data clustering and partitioning techniques.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data security and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with a global team of experts to enhance our transaction monitoring systems.
  • Document and maintain a clear record of all system processes and architectures.

What We Look For

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in Python or similar languages, with a strong background in Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Apache Spark.
  • Deep knowledge of the SDLC/MDLC processes, data analytics, and statistical methods.
  • Experience in financial crime detection within banking transactions is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German is a plus.
