Our Finance Center of Excellence is seeking an experienced Sr. BI & Anaplan Analyst to lead the transformation of our financial planning framework. Leverage your expertise in data analytics and model building to drive strategic decisions and enhance financial visibility.

Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Data Analytics

  • Develop and maintain advanced BI solutions using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
  • Perform detailed analysis of source systems and model that data in BI tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and design custom reports.
  • Lead the integration of BI tools with databases and data warehouses.
  • Provide expertise in data analysis and visualization for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting through optimized processes.
  • Train users on new reports and provide technical support.

Anaplan Model Building

  • Build and maintain robust financial models in Anaplan to support FP&A activities.
  • Continuously improve models and processes for evolving business needs.
  • Implement driver-based planning and forecasting for automation.
  • Facilitate change management for newly rolled out models.
  • Develop and coach fellow Anaplan model builders on best practices.
  • Assist with data integration and access management activities.
  • Enhance forecast/plan governance and support self-service models.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Anaplan Model Builder Certification with 2+ years of relevant development experience.
  • Experience with data integrations and Agile project delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Finance or financial consulting.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expense allocations.

Current Nordstrom employees can apply via Workday. Pay ranges for specific states are as follows:

  • California: $92,000-$155,000 Annually
  • Colorado: $80,000-$132,000 Annually
  • Washington: $92,000-$155,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefit eligibility depends on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
