Title: Applications of AI & ML to Airspace Management Intern

We are currently seeking an intern to support exploratory research on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in developing services for airspace management. This includes projects related to optimal scheduling, conflict detection and management, risk assessment, and load balancing for drones, air-taxis, and high-altitude air vehicles.

Required Education and Experience:

• Enrollment in an undergraduate or higher degree program with a focus in engineering or computer science.
• Proficiency in Python programming, computer graphics, linear algebra, data structures, algorithms, and statistics.
• Knowledge of basic machine learning methods for linear and nonlinear regression and classification, including neural networks.
• Strong teamwork, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in publishing and presenting research at conferences.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with airspace management.

Compensation Details:

Basic Compensation: $20.50/hr - $27.50/hr (specific to the California area). The final offered rate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience relative to internal standards.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer further financial incentives including bonuses, commissions, sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, and discretionary payments for exceptional performance, in accordance with internal policy.
