Job Opportunity: Applied AI Machine Learning Lead in Asset Management

J.P. Morgan Asset Management is actively enhancing AI capabilities within our teams. We are excited to announce an opening for a talented Software Engineer specialized in Python and experienced in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs). Positioned within Asset Management, the successful candidate will play a critical role in piloting, crafting, and executing a large-scale federated LLM platform.

Collaboration with Agile teams, Global Data Science groups, and other tech divisions will be pivotal as you focus on creating reliable, leading-edge technology solutions that are secure, robust, and scalable. This role involves hands-on development, technical advising, and the application of innovative problem-solving skills in a high-stakes, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and operation of sophisticated LLM applications.
  • Strategic partnership with technology teams to guide LLM integration and support.
  • Collaboration across Data Science and Cybersecurity teams to push the boundaries of ML products.
  • Deployment of robust data storage and processing infrastructures with DevOps engineers.
  • Coding, testing, debugging, and review of secure, high-quality production software.
  • Foster a team environment rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Extensive Python programming expertise.
  • Proven experience in developing and scaling ML-driven products.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, and other cloud technologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native architecture design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past involvement with financial data and data science methodologies.
