Role Overview

As an Applied AI / ML Sr. Associate, you will spearhead initiatives that promote long-term growth and profitability through strategic business insights. You will not only design and develop advanced machine learning models but also collaborate closely with senior management and various stakeholders across the organization, such as marketing, risk, and technology teams, to ensure these models are innovative and effective. This is a role where your work will directly influence high-stakes decisions and have visible impact across our global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include:

• Developing machine learning models to enhance decision-making processes across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to collections in our card business.
• Creating, maintaining, and improving tools for AI/ML model explainability and fairness.
• Employing cutting-edge machine learning techniques to build and manage complex models on large data platforms.
• Working in conjunction with senior leadership to transform ambitious ideas into actionable, scalable modeling solutions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Candidates should possess:

• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• Proven ability in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models within a production environment.
• Detailed knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and the ability to code using languages and frameworks such as Python, Tensorflow, Spark, or Scala.
• Experience within the credit card sector and strong business acumen, particularly relating to the deployment of models in high-scale environments like distributed Spark systems.
