Applied AI: Senior Software Engineer, iOS Growth

About the Role

We are searching for a seasoned iOS engineer to become a part of our new ChatGPT Growth team to direct key projects that expand the user base of ChatGPT and Plus Subscribers. Your responsibilities will encompass projects like optimizing account access, notifications, SEO, nurturing value discovery, and virality. As we are at the initial stages of expansion at OpenAI, we anticipate your insights in finding pivotal areas where strategic investments or stepwise efforts can trigger considerable influence. We value engineers who are impact-centric, independent, proficient at interpreting critical insights from experimental results, and possess a robust intuition for eliminating barriers to unleashing the power of ChatGPT.

In this role, you will:

• Steer the long-term growth of ChatGPT through a blend of data analysis, product brainstorming, and experimentation to enhance product experiences.
• Plan and launch mobile platform infrastructure required to create, test, and implement these product experiences.
• Implement projects through close collaboration with research, product, design, data science, and other members of product teams to have an impact on product goals.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive culture that welcomes everyone encouraging clear communication and challenging conformity.

You might excel in this role if you:

• Have introduced features on iOS that enhance the user journey, such as landing pages, product pages, purchase flows, search flows, and so on.
• Are strongly analytical and have experience in designing and executing A/B tests, implementing a scientific approach to data-driven experiments. You are proficient in tracking business metrics and KPIs.
• Have a persistent and inherent urge to learn and add missing skills. A matching talent for conveying that information succinctly and clearly to others.
• Are comfortable with uncertainty and swiftly changing circumstances. You view changes as a chance to introduce structure and order when needed.
