Software Engineer, Data Capture Systems

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in developing data entry applications and supporting pipelines for our internal Operations staff and field agents. Our team is in charge of back-end systems and improvements (created in Python and utilizing AWS services and data stores), and applications utilized by our stakeholders (these could be React web front-ends or installed .NET applications). The successful applicant will contribute to our developments with the goal to provide smarter, more efficient, and more dependable systems.

We support a Hybrid working model. Most of our team members spend one or two days per week in our London office and work remotely the rest of the week.

What You Will Do:

• Join a high-performing Agile team, working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop features or solve technical issues within the scope of your team's sprint. This often involves individual contribution or pairing within the team, though collaboration with Engineers and Architects from other teams is sometimes necessary.
• Assist your team in providing high-quality, reliable software through our code review and QA practices, and contribute to their evolution over time.
• Speak up during discussions regarding implementation trade-offs within the team or technical solution possibilities with our stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:

• Individuals with practical software development experience accumulated in a development team.
• Developers who are comfortable working with back-end development. Our team develops cloud services in Python and deploys them on AWS. We also support a range of .NET applications used for crucial operations tasks.
• Developers who are confident with front-end development. Our most recent front-ends use React and TypeScript.
• Candidates who can rapidly gain domain knowledge and effectively improve their skills in technology topics as needed.
• Applicants who are eager to contribute to both new feature development and system reliability and performance enhancements.
