Applied AI/ML Senior Associate - Join Our Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology AI/ML Team

At JPMorgan Chase & Co., our Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology AI/ML team tackles challenging and impactful problems across various corporate functions. We are a fast-paced, dynamic team providing cutting-edge solutions for over 10 functional pillars, including financial crimes, trade surveillance, legal, audit, resiliency, and regulatory management.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Applied AI/ML Senior Associate, you will:

• Analyze complex business problems and apply advanced algorithms to develop, test, and evaluate AI/ML applications or models.
• Utilize the firm's extensive data pool from both internal and external sources using Python/Spark via AWS and other systems.
• Derive actionable business insights from technical results and present them to a non-technical audience.
• Proactively develop an understanding of key business problems and processes.
• Execute tasks throughout the model development process, including data wrangling/analysis, model training, testing, and selection.
• Generate structured and meaningful insights from data analysis and modelling exercises.
• Collaborate with other data scientists and machine learning engineers for machine learning solution deployment.
• Conduct ad-hoc and periodic analysis as required by business stakeholders, model risk functions, and other groups.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics).
• Practical expertise and work experience with ML projects, both supervised and unsupervised.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent languages.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency with analytical toolkits such as SQL, Spark, Scikit-Learn, and XGBoost.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication (verbal and written), and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience with graph analytics and neural networks (TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience working with engineering teams to operationalize machine learning models.
• Familiarity with the financial services industry.
