At GTAR, our mission is to explore and harness advanced technologies to craft groundbreaking solutions for our clients and revolutionize the financial industry.

We are currently seeking experienced Quantum Computing Researchers for our dedicated team, focusing on three distinct areas:

  • Theory of quantum computation
  • Empirical evaluation and fault-tolerant execution of quantum algorithms
  • Quantum error-correction

Roles and Responsibilities

Theory of Quantum Computation and Quantum Algorithms:

  • Lead advancements in quantum algorithms applicable to optimization, machine learning, and more.
  • Collaborate intensively to transform theoretical research into practical applications on quantum hardware.

Quantum Error-Correction:

  • Enhance the methods of quantum error correction and fault tolerance.
  • Partner with algorithm specialists to optimize error correction techniques and explore their practical demonstrations.

Across these roles, successful candidates will also document research findings, contribute to scientific papers, engage with the academic community by presenting at conferences, and support JPMC’s intellectual property efforts.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of industry or post-doctoral experience in quantum computing.
  • Proven track record in scientific research and technical writing abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting complex concepts to varied audiences.

Preferred:

  • Publication record in quantum computation or related areas.
  • Practical experience with quantum information and error correction.
  • Knowledge of financial applications, though not mandatory, is considered a plus.
