About the Role

As a member of our innovative team, you will collaborate with skilled peers to create and improve a revolutionary conversational assistant, aimed at enhancing user experiences for millions of Alexa customers. We are looking for a candidate who has a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and a strong enthusiasm for advancing the field of AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, comprehend, and enhance user experiences by utilizing Amazon’s diverse data sources and large-scale computing resources.
  • Develop top-tier LLM technologies including modeling and prompt optimization algorithms for conversational AI applications.
  • Build and measure innovative online and offline metrics for various customer scenarios and personal digital assistants across multiple devices and endpoints.
  • Design, innovate, and deliver algorithms based on deep learning, policy-based learning, and/or machine learning to achieve significant customer impact.
  • Conduct model and data analysis, and monitor metrics through online A/B testing.
  • Research and implement novel machine learning and deep learning algorithms and models.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
  • Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.
  • Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay depends on multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
