About the Role

We are seeking an Applied Scientist Intern to join our dynamic Audio and Graphics team. As an intern at Flawless AI, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated group of world-class researchers and scientists to address some of the most challenging issues in deep learning, including:

• Speech Enhancement
• Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
• Voice Activity Detection (VAD)
• Text-to-Speech (TTS) Synthesis
• Voice Conversion (VC)
• Multi-Language Modeling

Our work in visual dubbing is just the beginning. We are continuously developing exciting cutting-edge products based on our foundational research. This internship is a remarkable opportunity to be at the forefront of the generative AI revolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Research Scientists with preprocessing audio signals
• Build data pipelines (e.g., extracting specific features)
• Assist Research Scientists in productionizing their work

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:

Requirements:

• Ongoing MS/PhD in Audio Research or related fields
• Proficiency in Linear Algebra, Signal Processing, and Numerical Optimization
• Expertise in Deep Learning techniques for the audio domain, including ASR, VAD, TTS, or SST (Speech-to-Speech Translation)
• Experience with Audio Signal Processing techniques
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Bash scripts
• Experience with Compute Platforms such as GCP or AWS

Nice to Have:

• Ongoing PhD in Audio Synthesis Techniques, Visual Computing, or related fields
• Experience addressing audio problems, including the application of deep learning for denoising, speech recognition, and voice activity detection
• Publications in top-tier audio journals (e.g., Trans. SP, Trans. ASLP) or conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICASSP, INTERSPEECH)
• Demonstrated industrial delivery of at-scale AI-based solutions and SaaS products
• Strong coding and software architecture skills with Python (or C++)
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex ideas and understand requirements
