About This Role:

S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking talented individuals for our Apprentice program within the Index Management & Production Group (IMPG). As part of the IMPG team, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and calculation of our renowned indices. This position offers the unique opportunity to refine your analytical and research skills, and directly contribute to projects essential for the business.

This apprenticeship will provide valuable industry exposure across different Market Management teams. You will engage in practical applications of your data analysis and time management skills, immerse in professional communication, and assist in meaningful projects that influence S&P Dow Jones Indices' operations globally.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize Excel for extensive data analysis
- Perform analytical research for annual IWF (Investable Weight Factor) reviews
- Propose innovative Data Science and AI solutions to enhance product quality and processes
- Collaborate on index-specific projects and meet tight deadlines
- Work closely with technology groups to enhance system capabilities and address production issues

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:
- A degree from an accredited university or college
- Open to all majors, though Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, and Finance are preferred
- Independent project management skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of VBA, Python, or Matlab is advantageous
