Join State Street as an AI/ML Developer - Senior Manager

State Street, one of the world’s leading financial services companies, is seeking a skilled AI/ML Developer to join our DMC India region team. This role involves comprehensive model design, data preparation, development, back testing, deployment, and support. With the DMC AI Solutions team, you’ll explore, prototype, and adopt AI technologies for intelligent automation and analytics at scale, in alignment with internal Architecture AI team policies.

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Developer with 9-11 years of software development experience, including 3+ years of advanced Python programming. Candidates should be proficient in software engineering principles, familiar with on-premise and cloud-based enterprise applications, and experienced in AI/ML systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI/ML components and solutions using Python with on-premise and cloud-based tools.
• Manage and utilize appropriate cloud tools to build and deploy AI/ML models, leveraging CI/CD practices.
• Develop and implement AI/ML models to meet current and future business needs.
• Participate in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, deployment, and production support.
• Conduct requirement analysis, root cause analysis, and problem resolution, including service escalation.
• Prepare and maintain technical and compliance/audit documentation.
• Experience with advanced AI/ML tools and techniques is expected.
• Communication skills in written and verbal formats are essential.

Core Skills

• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and deep learning.
• Ability to work with large-scale datasets and implement scalable ML solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Data analysis/science, financial model development, and NLP.
• Experience with AWS Databricks AI/ML Ops.
• Knowledge of tools and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, FastAI, MATLAB, LightGBM, Theano, Google ML Kit, MxNet, and Caffe.

Educational Requirements

M.Sc or higher in Mathematics or Statistics.
