We have an exciting opportunity for you to leverage your skills to support federal health research and development (R&D) organizations, including various military and civil health agencies. Your expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning will help conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded R&D programs aimed at accelerating better health outcomes for everyone.

Your tasks will include:

• Characterizing the state of technical fields, identifying state-of-the-art technologies, and exploring new approaches.
• Recommending ambitious technology performance targets.
• Identifying key technical experts across academia, industry, and national labs, and facilitating the formation of multidisciplinary technical communities.
• Reviewing technical proposals and advising on project plans and milestones for complex R&D projects.
• Performing direct and periodic technical oversight of project portfolios from inception to close-out and assisting in client project management to achieve compelling outcomes.

Qualifications

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in AI and ML roles.
• Experience developing experimentation plans and communicating project requirements and outcomes.
• Experience leading AI and ML solution development and deployment teams.
• Proficiency in AI techniques, such as large language models, transformer-based models, state space models, or variational autoencoders.
• Proficiency in coding languages, such as Python, R, Scala, and C++.
• Knowledge of AI and ML concepts, methodologies, and technologies.
• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Huggingface, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for ML deployment.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Master's degree.

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing novel AI and ML solutions for healthcare applications.
• Experience with synthetic data generation, augmentation, and analysis.
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing solutions and ETL.
• Experience in policy analysis and strategies regarding AI ethics and standards.
• Ability to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations to address client issues.
• Ability to learn, grow, and develop new skill sets.
• Proven academic publications.
• Doctorate degree.
