ACLU Assistant Director of Business Intelligence and Reporting Job Opportunity
The ACLU is actively seeking applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Business Intelligence and Reporting in our Development Department at the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY. This hybrid role requires in-office presence of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month.

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting Supervisor: Director of Development Data & Systems
The Assistant Director will collaborate with various teams including Development Data & Systems, Nationwide Fundraising Resources, Analytics, and ACLU fundraisers to structure and manage our business intelligence and user reporting capabilities. Key duties include:
- Developing and managing tools and resources for business intelligence and user reporting
- Collaborating with internal teams to prioritize needs and deliver new resources
- Researching and selecting data tools that handle complex data environments effectively
- Designing dashboards and reports, and managing vendor relationships
- Identifying alternative solutions for underperforming reports with the Salesforce Support team
- Managing national and nationwide projects using hybrid project management techniques
- Troubleshooting and maintaining business intelligence tools and resources
- Communicating best practices and workflow documentation to Development users nationwide
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based CRM software like Salesforce, Redshift, Hightouch
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI
- Expertise in selecting and managing large-scale tool implementations
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Capability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience in national or international organization in constituent data management
Compensation
The ACLU values equity, transparency, and clarity in compensation. The annual salary for this position is $115,782 (Level G), with an additional locality adjustment for New York, NY. The role adheres to a hybrid schedule of 2 days/week or 8 days/month in-office.
