About the Role

The GCP AI Engineer will be responsible for creating innovative GCP solutions to drive revenue, improve efficiency, and reduce risk for both KPMG and its clients. This role combines business technology expertise and AI skills to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GCP services and a solid background in software development and systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior SMPs across member firms to gather requirements and understand the business purpose of solutions.
• Design and develop GCP-based solutions for global member firms, initially focusing on Trusted solutions.
• Utilize scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, Google Cloud SDK, and Terraform to deploy and configure cloud infrastructure efficiently.
• Leverage GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and App Engine to develop comprehensive cloud solutions.
• Develop and implement GCP-based prototypes, testing and validating each solution extensively.
• Document all GCP-based solutions meticulously.
• Explore and implement innovative AI technologies and tools, such as Prompt Flow, to enhance user interaction and experience.
• Ensure integration of security practices throughout the AI lifecycle with a DevSecOps mindset to safeguard applications and data.
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed systems by leveraging expertise in containers and cloud-native technologies.
• Provide technical support and respond to queries from global member firms about the solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development and systems engineering
• At least 4+ years of experience with GCP cloud services
• Experience with GCP DevOps and Agile development methodologies
• Proven track record in building AI solutions, with a preference for Generative AI specific solutions
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is desirable
• Experience with OpenAI, LLaMA 2 & 3, Claude, Palm, Falcon large language models
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit, Generative AI) and a solid understanding of ML algorithms
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud) and their specific AI services (Vertex AI, Azure AI, Google Studio)
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala and familiarity with AI development tools such as Azure Studio and Google Studio
• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Machine Learning Engineer
