Role Summary

The Assistant Manager, Statistical Programmers will guide a skilled team dedicated to managing, analyzing, and reporting clinical trials data. This role involves overseeing the creation and maintenance of programming workflows, enhancing data quality control, and contributing to process improvement, all while ensuring effective coordination within the team and across organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee standard programming practices and documentation, ensuring the integration of CDISC standards when applicable.
  • Provide technical and operational leadership, establish team policies, and manage resource allocation and project deliverables.
  • Enhance staff skills through targeted training and mentorship, optimizing team performance and cohesion.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to maintain transparency on project progress and challenges.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budget management, and the recruitment and hiring of new team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related scientific or technical field.
  • Minimum seven years' experience as a Statistical Programmer within clinical trials research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in SAS or R on Unix platforms, with strong experience in macro creation and report generation.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and proven skills in a leadership role within a matrix management setup.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Prior supervisory experience and a background in project management or business practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and CDISC standards.

The position offers a competitive salary range from $120,868.80 to $191,027.20, commensurate with experience.
