Your Role as an Associate BI Developer

As an Associate BI Developer, you play a vital role within the Kaplan Analytics Team. Work alongside Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts to establish a robust data infrastructure and deploy data-driven solutions that propel key business initiatives forward. Your responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Data Integration and ETL: Learn, understand, and maintain ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency from diverse sources.
  • Data Querying: Write efficient data queries to extract and create datasets for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations using BI tools like Tableau and SSRS, offering actionable insights to business users.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing and validation to ensure data and report accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain documentation for BI solutions and share expertise with team members through training and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous learning and skill enhancement to contribute effectively to BI & analytics solutions.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis, Support & Troubleshooting: Provide support including ad hoc analysis, issue troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations.

Hybrid Work Schedule

This role follows a hybrid schedule with 3 days remote and 2 days in-office. A 30-day notification period is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in Business Intelligence development.
  • Basic SQL proficiency.
  • Understanding of visualization and reporting fundamentals.
  • Strong aptitude in basic statistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications related to data analytics, statistics, analytical, or BI tools.
