Role Overview

As an Associate Consultant at Equifax, you will be at the forefront of Client Analytics within our Data and Analytics (D&A) team. In this pivotal role, you will lead analytical and consultancy projects, designing and developing complex modeling assignments utilizing CRA data. You will also engage frequently with external customers and stakeholders, managing multiple projects that generate revenue for Equifax UK.

Key Responsibilities

Our Associate Consultants excel in developing statistical models with hands-on detailed analytic & modeling expertise, leveraging CRA data assets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of analytical projects, including credit strategy development, scorecard, and model development, adhering to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Performing analysis using multiple data sources and statistical techniques such as Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Decision Trees, Exploratory Data Analysis, CHAID analysis, and Cluster Analysis to solve business problems.
  • Communicating analytical results effectively to improve business decisions and profitability.
  • Using data mining tools and programming languages such as SAS, SQL, and Python for data preparation and decision-making.
  • Delivering analytical and commercial solutions to internal and external clients.
  • Understanding the regulatory landscape concerning consumer credit and its potential impact on our clients.
  • Providing essential support to Sales and Strategy Consulting teams by determining the most appropriate customer solutions and preparing project proposals.
  • Conducting professional presentations to audiences at various levels, from junior staff to board members.

Required Experience and Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A relevant numerical degree with a 2:1 or above.
  • Experience with programming languages SAS, SQL, and Python in a credit risk environment.
  • An innovative mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities that leverage data and analytics for business benefit.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, with confidence in presenting to business partners and clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with team members and clients at various levels, including business leaders.
  • Experience in all stages of credit strategy, scorecard, and model development.

Preferred Qualifications

Although not mandatory, the following qualifications will set you apart:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Credit Risk.
  • Experience with data integration, structures, and ETL processes.
  • Previous use of credit bureau data.
  • Cloud experience using GCP or Amazon AWS.
  • Previous consultancy experience.

This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
