About the Role

The Domain Data Products team is a data engineering team responsible for building and supporting data products including data warehouses, metrics stores, and dashboards. These products enable insights from important data sources, such as subscription metrics, behavioral data, and revenue. Utilizing data platforms, we ingest, transform, store, and govern data from various domains. This role is based in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Modernize and simplify data pipelines and datasets using SQL modeling in dbt.
  • Collaborate with partners and analysts to design and implement data models and perform audits to ensure data accuracy and freshness.
  • Automate tasks such as end-to-end testing and report generation.
  • Build transformation pipelines using tools like BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, FiveTran, Mode, and other services in Google Cloud Platform with languages such as Python, Go, and SQL.
  • Report to the Engineering Manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SQL and some experience optimizing queries.
  • 1+ years of experience with programming in at least one language (Go, Java, or Python preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hightouch, or equivalents).
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Tableau) and experience sharing data insights with reports and dashboards.

This role may require limited on-call hours. An on-call schedule will be determined upon joining, considering team size and other variables.

Compensation

The annual base pay range for this role is between $88,000—$110,000 USD.
